ADSL configuration Information

ADSL Authentication

• Usernames are normally 03XXXXXXXX@graytech.net.au
• Passwords are normally PWD03XXXXXXXXT

Linux Servers

• Ensure your ADSL modem is operating in Bridged Mode
• Edit /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ppp0 and verify that the right:
  • Ethernet Port is being used ETH=eth1
  • Correct Username is configured USER=03XXXXXXXX@graytech.net.au
• Edit /etc/ppp/pap-secrets or /etc/ppp/chap-secrets to ensure your username and password are correctly defined. EG:

# Secrets for authentication using CHAP
# client                     server  secret            IP addresses
0312345678@graytech.net.au   *       PWD0312345678T    *
